Author Guidlines
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
The manuscript submitted must not have been previously published or be under evaluation for publication elsewhere; it must have received approval from co-authors, if applicable, as parties jointly responsible for the manuscript. The publisher is not liable for claims or compensation requests related to the manuscript. Manuscripts should be submitted through the submission menu on the ALHUSNA ISLAMIKA website: Jurnal Studi Islam dan Sosial Keagamaan at https://luhurislamika.com/index.php/alhusnaislamika/about/submissions. The manuscript should be well-prepared, typed on A4 white paper with single spacing. Paper margins: right 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, top 2.5 cm, bottom 2.5 cm. The manuscript should not exceed 25 pages, including tables and figures.
SCOPE:
This journal publishes reviews of published research results, related to theories, evaluations of other research findings, and/or policy regulations, aimed at policymakers as decision-making material. The issues discussed are comprehensive and aim to provide information on Islamic Studies, Islamic Philosophy, Sufism, Sufi Orders, Religious Studies, Social Religious Studies, Islamic Culture, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, and Qur'anic and Hadith Studies integrated with societal life.
MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
LANGUAGE:
The journal publishes articles in both Indonesian and English (abstract and keywords). The use of terminology follows KBBI (Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia).
MANUSCRIPT FORMAT:
The manuscript should be structured in the following order: title, author names, institutional affiliation, and email address, abstract in Indonesian or English (300 words), keywords (in Indonesian or English), introduction, research methods, results and discussion, conclusions and recommendations, acknowledgments (if any), and a reference list using a reference management tool (Mendeley).
TITLE:
The title should be concise, factual, and informative, accurately reflecting the content of the manuscript. The title should not exceed 15 words.
AUTHOR NAMES:
The author's name and their institution (affiliation) with email should be listed below the title. If there is more than one author, the names should be written following the ethical guidelines for authorship.
ABSTRACT:
The abstract is a summary of the manuscript’s key elements, written in a single paragraph not exceeding 300 words. The abstract should briefly describe the problem, purpose, methodology, and conclusions. Avoid abbreviations and references in the abstract.
KEYWORDS:
A minimum of three to five keywords, consisting of single words or word combinations that reflect the main subjects of the manuscript, listed alphabetically.
INTRODUCTION:
The introduction should include background, problem formulation, purpose, and relevant literature citations.
DISCUSSION:
The discussion should refer to a scholarly review of research in Islamic Studies, Islamic Philosophy, Sufism, Sufi Orders, Religious Studies, Social Religious Studies, Islamic Culture, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, and Qur'anic and Hadith Studies integrated with societal life. The discussion should be concise, focusing on interpreting the findings, not repeating the results section. It should be comprehensive and aim to provide information on Islamic Studies, Islamic Philosophy, Sufism, Sufi Orders, Religious Studies, Social Religious Studies, Islamic Culture, Islamic Civilization, Islamic Thought, and Qur'anic and Hadith Studies integrated with societal life.
CONCLUSION:
A brief description in full sentences answering the research objectives and problems, accompanied by recommendations or implications.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS (IF ANY):
This section is for thanking those who contributed to the completion of the research or funding.
MEASUREMENTS:
Units of measurement in the text and graphics should follow the metric system, such as microns, mm, cm, km for length; cm3, liters for volume; and g, kg, tons for weight. Avoid using non-metric units like pikul, quintal, etc.
TABLES:
Tables should have a short but clear title with necessary notes, including the table source if it refers to another reference. Each table should be numbered consecutively and discussed within the text.
FIGURES AND GRAPHS:
Figures and graphs should be clearly explained and include sufficient captions for independent understanding. They should be discussed within the text. Black and white or color photos should have good quality.
REFERENCE LIST:
The reference list should be formatted using Mendeley with the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style. The minimum number of references should be 10, with a preference for primary sources from various authors. References published within the last 10 years are encouraged.
MANUSCRIPT SELECTION MECHANISM:
The editorial team will review, correct, and adjust the manuscript format to align with the journal’s informative style without altering the manuscript’s meaning. The editorial team will return the manuscript to the author for revisions based on the editorial review. Manuscripts that do not meet the criteria will be rejected based on the Editorial Board’s decision. Authors are expected to return revised manuscripts promptly to ensure timely publication.
